Snowflake, AZ | Artisan Soap

Shea and Sweet Almond

Tucked between Show Low and Holbrook sits Snowflake, Arizona — a town whose name invites confusion but has nothing to do with winter weather or thin-skinned internet commenters.

Snowflake was founded in 1878 by two LDS pioneers, Erastus Snow and William Jordan Flake, whose surnames combined to form the now-famous moniker. William J. Flake went on to leave a large Arizona legacy of his own; he’s the great-great-grandfather of former U.S. Senator Jeff Flake.

Despite the crisp name, Snowflake’s real story is one of grit, migration, and settlement across the high desert, where early families carved out farms and faith communities in the windswept White Mountains.

This soap captures the feeling of stepping into bright, untouched winter light. Snowflake opens with notes of heliotrope and cool spring water, wrapped in juniper berry and grounded by soft vetiver and sandalwood. The fragrance lands somewhere between fresh cotton and just-folded clean laundry — airy, crisp, and impossibly clean, like standing outside in the forest as the seasons shift.

Crafted with sweet almond, castor, coconut, olive, palm, and shea, this bar offers a rich, creamy lather and the refreshing clarity of a cold desert morning.

You can also have this soap added to any of our gift kits. Email or message me for details!
