About Us | AZSoapworks

Welcome to AZ Soapworks!

A lot of you have asked who we are and how AZ Soapworks came into existence. The truth is, it started out as a hobby with my interest in herbs and natural remedies.

The truth is that in the past, skincare was never on my list of priorities...

I've always been a very active, outdoorsy, tomboy kind of girl. Most of my life was spent outdoors hiking or horseback riding, occasionally running with my wolf and coyote hybrid dogs. I love exploring the desert, the mountains, or the ocean - wherever I happen to be is undiscovered country no matter how many times I've hiked or played in the area.

I used inexpensive skin and hair products, rarely took care of my body and mostly just assumed things would work out fine. I'm lucky that I haven't paid a bigger price for my time in the desert under our hot, Arizona sun and dry climate.

A lot of my luck is due to genetics (thanks, mom and dad!). But now that I’m reaching the half-century mark, and after seeing the incredible results of natural products on my pets after nearly 20 years in the pet industry, I decided I should start paying closer attention to my own skin.

I began my soap making career after developing an interest in herbs and natural healing plants that are native to the Sonoran Desert, which became an interest in essential oils. Soapmaking became an immediate obsession and fit naturally into my lifelong fascination of herbalism.

Just as I do with all interests, I immersed myself into everything the world of natural skin care has to offer.

Soapmaking allows me to use locally-sourced, organic ingredients, and natural healing techniques (some dating back to the beginning of recorded history), to create recipes that I feel are some of the best in the world.

Our products contain NO phthalates and NO Parabens. We try to keep them as natural (but safe) as possible.

The Sonoran desert is one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world. It’s naturally filled with ingredients that others would pay thousands of dollars for, yet I can walk outside and gather them in my yard: organic whole leaf aloe vera, eucalyptus, creosote, chaparral, yucca, prickly pear seed oil and jojoba oils. The list goes on...

We use locally-owned suppliers and only the best quality oils and ingredients. A local grove provides our organic olive oil, a Jojoba farm provides our jojoba oil, we use local sources, suppliers and ingredients whenever we can.

The Sonoran desert is a mecca for skin care and I’m proud to use as many natural ingredients as possible while still keeping costs low for you.

I hope you enjoy the products - I’ve worked VERY hard to bring you the best, most beautiful products possible.

Take care of your skin - live a beautiful life.

Stacy
