““Water is a desert’s gold.”
- Matshona Dhliwayo
Rain doesn't come often to the desert, but in the Sonoran desert, we see it more often than in other arid regions. We generally average about 3 inches of rain per year - which is why we get so excited about it when it happens.
Hard rain may flood an area, but the waters quickly disappear. The desert holds these riches deep in the earth - and only gives back when you earn your right to it...
This delicious scent will remind you of the desert after rain - when the air is filled with crisp ozone followed by an earthy mix of basil, green leaf, ozone, sandalwood, and tonka bean: a sign of life renewed.
