We wanted to do a tribute to Cochise for our Father's Day soap collection. We think this soap captures the fierce nature of the Apache, while celebrating the softer side of this people.
This masculine blend is ideal for men and women who love a clean, sharp finish. The scent combines top notes of lemon, bergamot and crisp mint that blends perfectly with a heart of lavender, green accord and sandalwood. A gentle base of cedarwood, amber and musk round out this strong yet sweet aftershave type scent.
We wanted this soap to be very fluid to create this design, so we chose super nourishing, skin-loving cocoa and shea butters, and organic oils. The bright blue and deep brown colors reflect its protective nature, while offering a clean, crisp scent of strength and power.
Cochise (pronounced Shi-ka-She or A-da-tli-chi) was a key war leader during the Apache Wars. As the last warrior of the Chokonen band of the Chiricahua Apache, he led an uprising against the U.S. government which began in 1861, and persisted until a peace treaty in 1872.
Cochise means, "having the strength of an oak" and he had that strength in spades. Arizona Native Americans were among the last to surrender to the US Army.
Cochise and the Chokonen-Chiricahua lived in northern region of Sonora, Mexico; New Mexico and Arizona. They had settled the region long before the arrival of the European explorers and colonists.
You can also have this soap added to any of our gift kits. Email or message me for details!
