Arizona is known for unusual animals and insects. The Ant Hill Garnet gemstone is mined by one such animal.
When tunneling a new home, these industrious ants cart tiny garnet gemstones to the top of ant hills to discard. Rain and wind then washes away the dirt and moves the stones to the flanks of the ant hill.
Rarely over a carat, the tiny gems are cleaned and used in jewelry by Native Americans.
We created a garnet-themed soap that represents the stones as they are being relocated from deep in the earth. This soap features Kokum Butter and an incredible fruity scent that is mild, clean and sweet. Perfect for any family!
